The Indispensables: Work, And Sex With A Woman You Love

I think this is the most important thing that Dr. Leonard Peikoff has ever said:
There are two things that can not be sacrificed in life. And I always thought these were the two things – work and sex (sex with a woman you love). Those two I see as indispensable to life. Either without the other, or life without either would be intolerable.
This is in no way an attempt to diminish or simplify Dr. Peikoff's works – The Ominous Parallels, OPAR, his upcoming DIM Hypothesis, his lectures, etc. Au contraire. Adopting reason as one's means of cognition, choosing rationality as one's primary virtue, and advocating individual rights are all means to ends -- and so are his works. And those ends are, as he states: work, and sex with a woman you love.

Work and sex (with someone you love) are values that are indispensable to one's ultimate existential and psychological values: one's life and one's happiness.
